Ob River Flood History From Tree Rings

This project was a collaboration between the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research and The Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology, in Yekaterinburg. The goal of this project was to improve tree-ring based streamflow reconstruction models, particularly in years of extreme flooding. I traveled to Yekaterinburg, Russia to obtain archived riparian tree samples and focused on the wood anatomical responses to extreme floods along the Ob River. This work was funded by the CRDF Global program (Award FSCX-18-63880-0)
